How We Started

The history of the Bureau can be traced back in May 2008 when two young and passionate Tanzanian entrepreneurs Mr. Paul R.K Mashauri  and Moses E. Mnzava teamed up to establish the first and hitherto the only lecture agency in East Africa. The two friends met at the University of Dare s Salaam and had worked together in a number of initiatives before establishment of the bureau.

Since childhood, Mashauri was a passionate believer  in entrepreneurship and had been involved in a number of leadership and entrepreneurship endeavors while in school. He was a head of student Government at Forodhani secondary School, member of the Executive Committee of the Youth of the United Nations (YUNA), Deputy Secretary General of the Tanzania Youth vision Association (TYVA) and the President of the University of Dar es Salaam Human Rights Association (UDSM Human Rights).

At the University, Mashauri was very instrumental in the designing and execution of some of the most profound ideas involving organisation of public lectures, human rights conferences, sports events, talents competitions and school of thoughts classes. He managed to champion for the above mentioned programs both as a student leader at Mabibo Hostels and an active member of the dynamic student association called AISEC.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he decided to venture into business and had worked with his former classmates in the magazine and newspaper projects called school and Colleges magazine (S&C) and Familia Newspaper before he joined his counterpart Moses to take off the consulting business.

EASB was born out of a CSR Program by Familia Newspaper which intended to inspire a positive change amongst university students and promote corporate efficiency through  motivational talk sessions organised for corporate clients. Over time, the demand for such programs increased paving the way for the establishment of the bureau. The bureau started out of the humble begginings and its success has largely been attributed by the burning desire, passion, hardwork and vision of its founding entrepreneurs.

In few months of it operations, the demand for other related services emerged leading to the extension of EASB services to include in-house training, executive coaching, research, events planning and management, projects execution, PR Services, Marketing Communication and speakers agency.
